The Notebenders Big Band celebrated their 10th Anniversary of a dream started by the legend Andy Hamilton.

Members of the Notebenders and friends will be doing a swimathon at Handsworth Leisure Centre to raise funds for the Andy Hamilton Trust.
The event is taking place on the 9th April and will commence from 3.00pm to 9.00pm
The Notebenders have been invited to play at a Special Charity Gig at Bramall Hall in aid of Prostate Cancer Awareness. There are a host of great Jazz Names, headlined by Courtney Pine.

Invited guests, dignitaries and members of the local community celebrated Andy Hamilton’s birthday on the 29thMarch at the The Arc, St John and St Paul’s Church, Darnley Road, Ladywood. The celebrations at the Gothic Church setting was also a culmination of funds received from Community First. Also attending the event were members of the Hamilton family, with particular thanks to Mrs Mary Hamilton, and Mark Hamilton who joined theNotebenders, the Ladywood School of Music, Tony Beet and Victor Evans to pay tribute to the legendary musician. The Andy Hamilton Trust thanks everyone for their valuable contribution towards this successful tribute.
